In this class targeted for ages 5-7, each child will receive an informal assessment to identify their current phonics skills. Instruction will be personalized each week to meet their specific needs. Through engaging multi-sensory activities that incorporate movement and hands-on materials, students will explore letter sounds including short and long vowels, blends, digraphs, Bossy R, diphthongs, and more. They'll also build skills in segmenting and blending sounds to help them decode and spell words with confidence.
After submitting the registration form below, you will be invoiced via Stripe. The registration fee for this course is $400.

Maplewood Fall Mini Authors Club
Grades 1st/2nd 9:15 - 10:00 am
Calling all budding authors! In this fun and creative writing workshop, kids will explore the building blocks of storytelling—from crafting exciting characters to writing vivid settings and strong plots. Through interactive activities, group sharing, and mini-lessons, young writers will build confidence, spark imagination, and leave with their very own written creations. Perfect for kids who love to tell stories or want to grow as writers!

Each week, lessons are thoughtfully tailored to meet your child’s unique learning needs. Through multi-sensory activities—incorporating movement, visual aids, and hands-on materials—we bring phonics to life online. We will also explore multi-sensory reading interventions including Orton-Gillingham, which is an evidence-based approach that aligns with the Science of Reading.
