Professional Learning

Empowering Educators. Regulating Classrooms. Transforming Outcomes.

At Empowered Mindful Solutions, we know that true learning cannot happen without felt safety, emotional regulation, and deep connection.

For years, our clinical and educational specialists have worked hand-in-hand with children and families to foster resilience, confidence, and academic growth through a mindful lens. Now, we are bringing our unique, integrated approach directly to school districts, administrators, and educators across New Jersey.

Our Professional Learning programs don't just hand you a curriculum. We empower educators with the neuroscience-backed tools, behavioral insights, and mindful frameworks needed to cultivate classrooms where both teachers and students can thrive.

Professional Learning

  • Dyslexia Training

If your school or teaching staff is looking to deepen their understanding of how to support struggling readers, our professional learning sessions are the perfect fit. We start with a baseline conversation to understand your specific district goals and classroom demographics. From there, we design a tailored training plan rooted in the Science of Reading and evidence-based structured literacy. Our workshops are led by certified Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading Program practitioners who bridge the gap between academic intervention and mindfulness. Educators will walk away with highly practical, multi-sensory techniques that make reading accessible, engaging, and less frustrating for every student in the classroom.

Meeting the Mandate, Bringing Literacy to Life

Under New Jersey state law (P.L. 2013, c. 105), school districts are required to provide a mandatory, annual 2-hour professional development program to instructional staff members (including K–3 teachers, special education teachers, reading specialists, and ESL teachers).

We know how hard it is to make compliance training feel meaningful. We are here to bring this requirement to life for your team. Our interactive workshops don’t just fulfill your legal obligations; they leave your teachers feeling inspired, regulated, and equipped with tools they can use tomorrow.

Our 2-hour specialized training counts directly toward the 20 hours of annual professional development required for NJ educators and thoroughly covers all four state-mandated core content areas:

    • Screening & Early Identification: Spotting the early warning signs of reading risks and learning how to properly screen for dyslexia.

    • Evidence-Based Interventions: Diving into the mechanics of structured literacy methods—like Orton-Gillingham—emphasizing systematic, multi-sensory instruction.

    • Classroom Accommodations: Finding low-stress, highly effective ways to accommodate struggling readers within the general education classroom.

    • Instructional Technology: Utilizing assistive digital tools to reduce cognitive load and seamlessly support students with severe reading deficits.
