Dyslexia & Structured Literacy Professional Learning

Turn Literacy Research into Mindful, High-Impact Classroom Practice

If your district is looking to close reading gaps and equip teachers with proven, research-backed strategies, our professional learning sessions are built for you.

We begin with a baseline consultation to assess your district's goals, classroom demographics, and existing literacy frameworks—so every session is tailored to your school's specific needs.

Our workshops are led by certified Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading Program practitioners. Participants leave with structured literacy principles translated into classroom-ready techniques they can put into practice immediately, not just theory they'll need to figure out later.

The result: multi-sensory strategies that make reading accessible, engaging, and far less frustrating for every learner.

Meeting the NJ Mandate: Bringing Literacy to Life

Under New Jersey state law (P.L. 2013, c. 105), school districts are required to provide a mandatory, annual 2-hour professional development for general education teachers; kindergarten-grade 3, special education, basic skills, and English as a second language teachers; reading specialists; learning disability teacher consultants and speech-language specialists. This professional learnings must include the screening, intervention, accommodation, and use of technology for students with reading disabilities, including dyslexia.

We turn compliance into genuine transformation. Our 2-hour specialized workshop counts toward the 20 hours of annual PD required for NJ educators and thoroughly satisfies NJ state law, while leaving your team inspired and regulated.

What You & Your Staff Will Gain

  • Screening & Early Identification: Spot early indicators of reading risk and learn to properly screen for dyslexia across grade levels.

  • Evidence-Based Interventions: Master the mechanics of structured literacy methods—like Orton-Gillingham—using systematic, multi-sensory instruction.

  • Low-Stress Classroom Accommodations: Implement practical strategies that support struggling readers within general education without increasing teacher burnout.

  • Assistive Instructional Technology: Utilize digital tools that reduce cognitive load and seamlessly empower students with severe reading deficits.

  • Mindful Co-Regulation: Combine academic interventions with proven emotional regulation techniques to reduce student anxiety around reading.
